  22. Did you ever try alternating uses of VOICE and FAX (and maybe DATA)
  23. on the same modem without powering it down in between?
  24. I see a strange problem on all 2864 series modems: when the modem has
  25. operated in VOICE mode and then AT+FCLASS=2 is sent, it does not
  26. reply with OK but with some garbage.  This has happened for quite
  27. a few firmware releases now, and is not corrected in 1.12.
  28. (although it has been reported to ZyXEL and they could reproduce it)
  29. The garbage seems to be different for different modems and firmware
  30. releases, but the same when trying it a few times on the same modem.
